THE VISION:

When Canyon Ranch, a brand synonymous with beauty, science and wellness, wanted to create their own skin care line, they knew they’d need a partner who shares their values and has proven experience in natural, high-end skin care. That’s why they tasked LATHER to develop a product that meets the luxury standards of their guests and drives greater retail sales opportunities.

THE STRATEGY:

  • Create products that reflect the principles of Canyon Ranch — clean, natural and effective formulations featuring innovative, beneficial and press-worthy ingredients such as chia and dilo oil, and extracts found within Canyon Ranch’s areas of operation
  • Source ingredients in an environmentally-responsible manner
  • Design retail-worthy packaging that conveys understated elegance. All merchandise needs to reflect Canyon Ranch’s level of luxury while still being approachable. Develop componentry that is eye-catching, easy to use and informative to the user.
  • Secure local relationships around the world that offered sustainable sourcing under fair trade principles.

THE RESULTS:

  • Debuting in Spring 2016 at Canyon Ranch properties, spas, cruise ships and website, retail sales have successfully seen month-over-month exponential growth
  • Global rollout of the collection took place at Canyon Ranch’s new location in Turkey in Summer 2016
  • On-going development of line extensions, resulting in a comprehensive line of more than 32 products to date.
  • New collection has been lauded by beauty, spa and luxury travel editors and featured in American Spa, Shape and The Robb Report.
